Summary:

Abrams seeks an enthusiastic, creative individual with superior organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a strong interest in Marketing to join our collaborative, fun and fast-paced Integrated Marketing team!

The Integrated Marketing team is dedicated to setting the overall strategy for marketing campaigns across the Adult and Children’s lists at Abrams with oversight of advertising, consumer events and retail marketing, orchestrating impressions across multiple verticals targeting the same consumer. Integrated Marketing works closely with the Digital Strategy & Consumer Engagement and School & Library Marketing teams as well as Publicity to ensure campaign promotions are coordinated, focused, and sales-driving.

The Assistant, Integrated Marketing will contribute to projects across these areas of focus, help develop our analytics reporting, manage key milestones related to seasonal brainstorming and planning and support the Integrated Marketing team in an administrative capacity. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to gain experience in the field of Marketing across both Adult and Children’s publishing while learning the strategy behind building an innovative sales-driving campaign and playing an important role in managing the essential day-to-day functions of our department.

This position reports to the Manager, Integrated Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and creative support for marketing campaigns and initiatives across the Integrated Marketing team, including advertising campaigns, promotional materials and retail marketing initiatives
Participate in campaign brainstorming sessions and other creative initiatives including market research and copy writing
Provide support for advertising strategy including maintaining menu of options/vendor contacts; assist with bulk buys, and campaign delivery
Provide support for production strategy related to the creation of promotional materials including maintaining vendor contact list, PO generation and material ordering/research
Organize campaign tracking and analytics to evaluate ROI on key performance marketing initiatives
Manage orderable POS materials from creation through shipment; communicate with Sales and Inventory regarding orders and status; maintain digital catalog pages
Maintain budget grids; manage invoice tracking and payments, AMEX coding and general updates and deadlines across the team
Execute key departmental tasks, including updating marketing plans and other seasonal tracking documents, budget entries, and taking notes in key meetings
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
Internship experience in marketing, preferably within the publishing industry, a plus
A passion for reading and the importance of connecting consumers with books
Excellent written and verbal communicator
Exhibits strong attention to detail and time management skills
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proactive self-starter who can work well independently yet flourishes in a collaborative environment
Easily builds and maintains relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in Mac OS and MS Office Suite, with strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok a plus
Knowledge of Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Salary

• $40,000

This role is based in New York, NY with a 3-day-per-week in office, hybrid work schedule.
