Description: | Adult Literary Agent at a reputed full-service agency seeks a remote intern for Fall 2024.
Applicants should be savvy readers and effective writers with a strong interest in book publishing. Some prior office experience preferred. Intern will be responsible for reading submissions and writing evaluations of adult fiction and non-fiction manuscripts. Though the internship will include occasional, minor administrative tasks, our goal is to create an environment where students will learn firsthand about an agency’s role in book publishing. Opportunities to learn more about subsidiary rights and the submission process will be available. We would like an intern to work ~12-18 hours per week and commit to a ~3 month term, but we can be flexible with your schedule. Modest stipend available. |
Length of Internship: | Early-October to mid-January (flexible) |
Requirements: | -Currently enrolled as a student
-Voracious reader -Strong writer -Interested in adult fiction and non-fiction -Organized -Enthusiastic -Previous office experience preferred |
